History of Football Freestyle Ask Mr. Suncola basic advance expert

Freestyle football is an exciting sport loved by millions. Though practiced in different forms over last century, it has gained immense popularity and recognition around the world in last decade. It is also a great source of entertainment as it is exhilarating and fun to watch.

The simplicity of freestyle football makes it even more popular as all you need is football and imagination. As it is said, "there is no right or wrong in freestyle football, it's just you, the ball and the limitless possibility of tricks.

Friends, there is no age limits to start practicing freestyle football. Just by following right technique, practice and patience you can master the tricks.

So, are you ready to freestyle?!! let Mr. Suncola guide you to become the freestyle football Champion!

Kick Ups

  • Step 1: Drop the ball on the ground and let it bounce
  • Step 2: Bring the foot under the ball and hit lightly upwards
  • Step 3: Now start to change the foot as you bounce the balls from one foot to another
  • Step 1: Hold the ball waist high and drop it
  • Step 2: Intercept the ball with the toe before it touches the ground making it bounce in air
  • Step 3: Keep changing the foot
  • Step 1: Place the ball in your instep
  • Step 2: Practice first to lift the ball up to your knee and let it drop down
  • Step 3: When you feel confident try moving your leg around the ball
  • Step 1: Start by using your hands to place the ball on the back of your neck
  • Step 2: Then roll it off your shoulder and continue with kick ups
  • Step 3: Kick the ball straight up about 1 meter above your head
  • Step 4: Keep your eyes on the ball and try to cushion it onto your neck.

Toe Bounce

  • Step 1: Jugggle the ball by hitting lightly from toe
  • Step 2: Bounce the ball at least waist high and let it drop
  • Step 3: Bring one leg over the ball as it bounces back
  • Step 1: Balance the ball on the toe
  • Step 2: Throw the ball a little higher than waist
  • Step 3: With opposite leg go over the ball
  • Step 4: When your leg goes around the ball, catch the ball before it lands
  • Step 1: Using your hand place the ball on top of your head (near hairline)
  • Step 2: Keep your hand as still as possible. If ball moves forward, move your head and body forward to balance
  • Step 3: When you can balance the ball on your head, try throwing it with your leg
  • Step 1: Balance the ball on your toe
  • Step 2: Throw the ball as closest to your knee as possible
  • Step 3: Catch the ball on your knee, make sure to make a right angle (90 degree) with your leg
  • Step 4: If the ball moves, move your knee also to balance
  • Step 1: Juggle the ball in relaxed manner
  • Step 2: Rest the ball on left foot upper area
  • Step 3: Lift the leg forward slowly and then swing it back quickly with ball entact
  • Step 4: Catch the rolling ball with other leg toe

Sole Juggles

  • Step 1: Grab the ball with both feet and lie down
  • Step 2: Now throw the ball in the air and kick the ball with the bottom of your feet
  • Step 3: Make sure your foot is horizontal when making contact with the ball and aim to hit the ball on the centre of your feet
  • Step 1: Kick the ball around head height (not too high)
  • Step 2: Have your shoulder relaxed and ready, cushion the ball and let it roll over your neck
  • Step 3: As it's rolling, turn your body in the same direction to complete the roll
  • Step 1: Start with the ball balanced on your foot
  • Step 2: Flick it waist high and let the ball bounce ONCE
  • Step 3: As the ball is bouncing up, slap it back down with the bottom of your feet
  • Step 4: The ball should bounce back down again
  • Step 5: Now quickly change your feet and repeat
